Our Primary 1 students from the Kovan branch visited the Zoo recently! We established a few learning objectives for the young ones as they set out on this excursion. Firstly, we wanted them to explore and understand Singapore’s wildlife in their natural habitats. At the same time, they will be experiencing and engaging in close encounters with these wildlife animals. At the end of the trip, we were aiming for students to be able to identify Singapore’s diverse wildlife and understand the importance of wildlife to our ecosystem.
Our students did indeed hit those objectives, and they gained so much knowledge in the process about Singapore’s fauna, especially on how to respect wildlife and the importance of ensuring the survival of endangered animals. We hope that through this visit, our students have also gained a deeper appreciation for the role animals play in our ecosystem.
