2. Update your profile. Always stay up to date in updating your profile. Be it a new job, or your latest achievement, it is key to show potential employers your activeness in your field.

 

3. Use keywords to optimise your profile. Employers and your fellow industry colleagues will be glancing at countless profiles, so you must capture their attention as soon as possible before they give your profile a proper look. Using keywords that are related to your job is an easy way to optimise your profile and be at the top of search results.

 

4. Set your profile as publicWhile this is a no-brainer step, some people might have forgotten to switch the toggle on. So, this is a reminder to check your settings and change your privacy status.

 

5. Customise your unique LinkedIn URLHaving a memorable and easy-to-type URL makes it easier on you when sharing your LinkedIn profile. If you can shorten your unique URL, that would be ideal as well.

 

6. Add a portfolio to your profile. A portfolio is about 50% of your profile. It shows your previous work experience and your achievements.
