This week, our IGCSE Sec 3 and IGCSE Sec 4 classes embarked on their long-awaited leadership camp! This two-day one-night adventure challenged their teamwork and interpersonal skills to complete team bonding activities. From an amazing race to kayaking, each game required an element of teamwork to complete. Even their accommodation required the help of multiple people as they had to pitch their own tents to sleep in for the night. Our young leaders sprang into action immediately as they were given each task, excited to accomplish the goals set out for them. We were thrilled to see their enthusiasm in working together as a team and learning what it takes for them to lead such a team. Some took charge of delegating tasks, while others cooperated and made sure to pull their weight in their individual responsibilities. Everyone worked together harmoniously like a well-oiled machine.
Through this camp, we aimed to inculcate social and emotional competencies into our leaders-in-the-making, develop a better team spirit and camaraderie amongst them, and instill a sense of citizenship and community. Great job to our students that completed this camp, and we hope that you took away valuable skills that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
