Often unconsciously, negative self-talk clouds your self-worth and convinces you that you are a worse person than you are. For a healthy mental state, please take note of the following! 

 

Cultivate self-awareness 

Always remember who you are and what you stand for when negative thoughts start to flood in. Everyone has their flaws, but they do not define you as a person. Life is not black or white, but shades of grey. So, do not be so harsh on yourself. 

 

Dispute negative talk 

You are never as bad as your negative thoughts make you out to be. You are braver, kinder, stronger, smarter, and more loved than you can ever imagine. Try to get rid of the negative thoughts as soon as possible before they weigh on you heavily.  

 

Practice self-love 

For every negative thought, replace it with a positive one. Look in the mirror, point out all the parts you love about yourself, and compliment yourself. A little encouragement goes a long way to improve your mood.  

 

Embrace gratitude 

Be thankful for what you currently have and possess. Life is consistently inconsistent, so you should treasure all the good you have in the moment.
