Programme Introduction
The Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is designed with the aim to advance intended students’ practical knowledge and skills in logistics and supply chain management. This programme also develops students to contextualize how external business environment and economic policies impact on logistic enterprises; and understand how international trades are operated as well as how strategy should be formulated to support international procurement and physical distribution..
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management by DIMENSIONS International College.
Objective
- To provide an opportunity for students to strategically plan and manage logistics and supply chain operations based on the knowledge and experience acquired from the prior study.
- To equip students with an in-depth analyses of the generic supply chain management factors.

Course Structure
Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management consists of 8 modules.
Course Outline
- Outline for Business Environment
This module is intended to enable students to investigate issues concerning the interaction of organizations and the external environment they are facing. It aims to give students the insight of how logistic and supply chain business would be affected by political, economic, social and technological factors.
- Outline for Economics
This module aims to provide understanding of the principles of economics and insight of how government regulate the market with economic policies and in return it will impact on logistic and supply chain operation. Students are expected to apply economic principles and approaches to analysing and evaluating the business decisions.
- Outline for Human Resource Management
This module aim to equip students with concepts and techniques employed in human resource management for logistic and supply chain operation. Successful students will be able to assess the human resources practices of international corporations in support of the achievement of organizational goals and conclude appropriate responses to a variety of critical situations.
- Outline for International Trade
This module is intended to provide students with essential concepts and understanding of international trade operation. It will enable students to investigate how cross-country trading and logistic arrangements are carried out and how shipment and payments and communication are handled. This unit will give student an additional perspective underpinning logistics study.
- Outline for Materials Resource Planning
This module aims to introduce the essential knowledge, concepts and theories about how material resources are planned and linked to logistic arrangement taking into account of supply side, manufacturing aspect, production control and planning as well as master scheduling.
- Outline for International Procurement Management
This module examines the nature and scope of international purchasing management. Students will have opportunities to investigate the economic aspects and analyze trends involving the purchasing function and process and the roles of government policy in regulating international procurement.
- Outline for Physical Distribution Management
This module aims to enable learners to understand the distribution networking system and the different channels of distributing both consumer and industrial goods. Students are also expected to analyze the market demand and supply and plan for best ways and sites of distribution.
- Outline for Strategic Logistics and Supply Chain Management
The aim of this module is to provide an opportunity for student to plan and manage logistic and supply chain operation strategically based on the knowledge and skills from the prior and related study. Students are expected to devise a strategy for an international enterprise subsequent to in-depth analysis of the organizational and environmental factors.

Maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 16 months
Maximum Candidature Period
Student is not allowed to retake the course and/or request for a refund in the event if he/she fails to complete the programme within the maximum candidature period.Opportunities for Further Education/Career Pathway
Students may consider pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or other options within this field of study.

Entry Requirements
Academic Level: Completed Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or other Level 4 Diploma of relevant disciplines or its equivalent.
English Proficiency : At least IELTS 5.5 or CAE Level 4 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by DIMENSIONS. English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a highest qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.
Class Periods

Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 11.30am and/or 12.15pm - 3.15pm and/or 3.30pm - 6.30pm
3 hours per session. All specific programme schedules will be reflected in the timetable.
Part-time(Blended)
Weekday (Monday to Friday)
Sessions will be conducted from 7.00pm to 10.00pm
and/or
Weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Note: The number of students in the classroom is subject to the maximum seating capacity.
Note 1: | International Student must achieve at least 90% attendance rate (ICA Requirement). |
Note 2: | International Student must not be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reason (ICA Requirement). |
Note 3: | Students who do not require ICA’s student’s pass must achieve at least 80% attendance rate.Our College only accept medical certificates as proof for absenteeism. Any other documents should only be accepted on a case-by-case basis with full justification and be acceptable by ICA. |
Note 4: | In the first week of studies, an induction session will be conducted. The students will be briefed by the Academic Staff on full details of the course including scheme of work, timetable, assessments and grading, assessment and exam dates and venue and many other academic matters. |
Note 5: | DIMENSIONS has the right to cancel a class/an intake if the minimum number of students enrolled is less than 10 for any programme per class. Students may enroll into a later intake, if any, or withdraw from course. (For refund, please refer to our Refund Policy). |
Note 6: | Students (both international and local) must achieve an attendance rate of 80% and above in order to qualify for examinations. |
