In January 2026, secondary students from DIMENSIONS International College embarked on a meaningful community outreach visit to Man Fut Tong Nursing Home, reflecting our school’s strong commitment to holistic education and values-based learning.
The visit was more than a service activity — it was an opportunity for students to develop empathy, compassion, and social responsibility while connecting with the elderly in a heartfelt way.
A Special Moment: The “Hand Trace Together” Activity
One of the highlights of the day was the Hand Trace Together activity. Students gently traced the seniors’ hands onto paper, symbolising connection, respect, and shared humanity. They then decorated the outlines with colourful lines, dots, and creative patterns, transforming each piece into a personalised keepsake.
Every artwork captured more than just a handprint — it preserved a shared moment, a story, and a memory between generations.
Promoting Intergenerational Bonding and Character Development
Through simple yet meaningful interactions, our students brought warmth, laughter, and companionship to the residents. Conversations flowed naturally, smiles were exchanged, and bonds were formed across generations.
