DIMENSIONS’ recent trip to Snow City was a cool blend of fun and learning! Students experienced hands-on education that went beyond the classroom. Firstly, there was an ice cream making workshop that enraptured our students from the start till the end. They picked from a few flavours before they got busy making their icy cold treat. After preparing the mixture and with some help from a little liquid nitrogen, a bowl of ice cream was born. Parents, worry not, because we made sure to supervise the students as they concocted their ice cream with the freezing-cold chemical. Our little pastry chefs then celebrated their success by happily digging in.
Afterwards, our students enjoyed playtime in the snow. They slid down mini-hills and had snowball fights that ended in peals of laughter. We were thrilled to see them having the time of their lives having fun in the cold. After all, it is not everyday you get to see snow in Singapore. We hope to bring our students on even more of these holistic and educational excursions in the future as they combine science with creativity and joy, bringing a fun balance to learning.
