News & Announcements

Amid the pandemic, mental health issues have been rising steadily. It is important now more than ever that we must understand them better and recognise the signs. Here are some mental illnesses that are more commonly diagnosed.

Depression: Lost interest in daily life and activities, isolation and withdrawal, feelings of hopelessness, lack of energy, and thoughts of suicide.

Alcohol Abuse: Impaired judgement, aggressiveness, mood swings, unable to limit intake of alcohol due to increase in tolerance, withdrawal symptoms when away from alcohol.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Obsessive: Has persistent irrational thoughts, impulses or images that cause anxiety or distress like an overwhelming fear of germs and dirt, repeats actions like checking and rechecking locks several times over.

To combat the rise in such mental illness cases, we need more professionals that can empathise and talk them through to recovery. DIMENSIONS aims to equip students with holistic understanding of psychological studies with our degree program.
