Overview

DIMENSIONS International College (DIMENSIONS), formerly known as Dimensions Commercial School was founded in 1980. Today we have three campuses comprising air-conditioned classrooms, training facilities and other facilities like libraries, chemistry laboratory, physics laboratory, computer room, canteens, auditoriums, basketball court and badminton courts.

We have four schools within DIMENSIONS, namely the School of Languages, School of Hospitality, DIMENSIONS High School and the School of Higher Education, offering different types of course to meet the varied needs and requirements of our students.

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework covers skills that equip individuals with the “know-how” to perform their specific jobs.

This course provides training to those working in the F&B industry. It aims to equip participants with a basic knowledge of food hygiene and to raise awareness towards better food hygiene practices. Upon successful completion of the course and after passing all assessments, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment by WDA.

DIMENSIONS International College is a WSQ Approved Training Organisation (ATO) of the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) for the above program.

Who Should Attend

Food handlers, chefs, supervisors, managers, and all staff working in the food & beverage establishments and hotels/resorts.

Language

This course is available in English or Mandarin.

Fees

$160.50 (inclusive of 7% GST)
SDF funding is available.

Course Structure

Course Outline

This course covers the following topics:

  • Practise good personal hygiene
  • Use safe ingredients
  • Handle food safely
  • Store food safely
  • Maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment and service/storage area

Duration

The course duration is 7.5 hours comprising 6 hours for Theory and 1.5 hours for Assessment

DIMENSIONS has the right to cancel a class/an intake if the minimum number of students enrolled is less than 10 for any programme per class.

Certificate
